‘You should be ashamed…’: Salman Khan schools nephew Arhaan for poor Hindi

New Delhi: Salman Khan is known for his larger-than-life persona, but he’s also got a knack for keeping it real. The Bollywood superstar recently sat down for a candid chat on his nephew Arhaan Khan’s podcast, Dumb Biryani and let’s just say, it wasn’t all laughs and nostalgia.

The conversation took a sharp turn when Salman realised that Arhaan and his friends, Dev Raiyani and Arush Verma, weren’t exactly fluent in Hindi. The revelation didn’t sit well with the Tiger 3 star, who wasted no time in calling them out.

It all started when Salman asked the trio about their podcast’s purpose. Their response? It was just “a passing passion” and “a way to create memories.” But the Tiger 3 star had a different take. “You guys should first do all of this in Hindi,” he suggested, setting the stage for what came next.

When one of Arhaan’s friends admitted that Hindi wasn’t their strong suit, Salman wasn’t having it. “You should be ashamed of yourselves if you don’t know Hindi,” he said bluntly. His reasoning? If they wanted to connect with an Indian audience, they needed to speak the language. Arhaan, trying to lighten the moment, joked about needing Hindi lessons, but Salman remained firm.

Words of wisdom from ‘Chachu’ Salman Khan

Beyond the language lesson, Salman also dropped some career advice. He encouraged Arhaan to take his time before entering the film industry. Coming from a megastar who has navigated the highs and lows of Bollywood, that’s advice worth noting.

Meanwhile, Salman is busy with his career. He’s currently filming Sikandar, an action-packed drama directed by AR Murugadoss, which will be released on March 28. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal and Sathyaraj. And if that’s not enough, Kick 2 is also in the works. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala recently shared a sneak peek, hinting at an exciting follow-up to the 2014 hit.
