New Delhi: The much-awaited Telugu film Laila is finally out in theaters. The highly-discussed romantic comedy, starring Vishwak Sen in the lead, garnered significant buzz on social media prior to its release. But did all the hype really translate into something that cinema lovers are liking? Well, let’s find out!

Some moviegoers managed to catch an early show of the flick. And they were kind enough to share their reactions on social media to help others make their decisions. While some felt that Laila was not quite up to the mark, others didn’t mince their words in bashing it left, right and center.

“Laila is a poorly made film with a junk storyline and third-rate direction. This movie is excessively cheap and absurd in every frame. It stands as the worst film of Vishwak Sen’s career and is entirely forgettable,” posted an X (formerly known as Twitter) user. Another wrote, “A clueless film where everything from writing to direction to music to actors’ performances failed. A bad first half followed by a pretty bad second half made the film a forgettable outing for Vishwak Sen and the team.”

Laila star cast

For the unversed, Laila also features Aakanksha Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Ravi Mariya, Nagineedu, Harsha Vardhan, Brahmaji, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Raghu Babu and Abhimanyu Singh in pivotal roles. It has been directed by Ram Narayan.

Its exciting trailer was unveiled online on February 6, 2025, and in no time, it went viral on the Internet, receiving all kinds of reactions. So far, the trailer has received more than 70 lakh views and over one lakh likes on YouTube.

Produced by Sahu Garapati under Shine Screens, Laila was released in cinemas on Friday (February 14, 2025), coinciding with the joyous occasion of Valentine’s Day. Now, it would be really interesting to see if it successfully attracts massive footfalls to theaters and emerges as a commercial success at the Box Office.
