‘Tujhe comeback…’: Honey Singh fires shots at Badshah, Raftaar during Mumbai show

New Delhi: Looks like Yo Yo Honey Singh is back, and he’s not holding back! The rapper, who kicked off his Millionaire India Tour in Mumbai on Saturday (February 22), literally and figuratively set the stage on fire. Amid a roaring crowd, the Desi Kalakaar crooner took a sharp dig at his long-time rivals, Badshah and Raftaar, making it clear that he’s here to stay.

While performing, Honey Singh took a moment to address the rumours surrounding his career. Scroll down to check out this viral moment from his Mumbai show!

Honey Singh mocks Badshah and Raftaar

During his performance, Honey Singh didn’t hold back. He addressed the ongoing chatter about his career with a sharp remark: “Kayi log kehte hain ki wo mere bhai hain. Kayi log kehte hain ki mera comeback nahi ho raha. Kayi log kehte hain ki wo mere gaane likhte the. Aur ab kehte hain ki wo meri taqdeer likh denge (Some call themselves my brothers. Some say I’ll never make a comeback. Some claim they wrote my songs. And now, they even believe they can write my destiny).”

Then, turning up the heat, he added: “To uspe ek sher sunaaun? Video banao, usko tag karna. Pichle saal meri taqdeer ne kaiyon ke guroor tod diye. Aur tujhe comeback karna padega (Shall I drop a couplet on this? Record this and tag him. Last year, my fate shattered the pride of many. And now, you’ll be the one making a comeback).”

Honey Singh v/s Badshah

Honey Singh and Badshah’s history is anything but sweet. Along with Raftaar, Ikka, and Lil Golu, they were once part of the rap collective Mafia Mundeer. But their split led to years of subliminal (and not-so-subliminal) disses.

Last year, Honey Singh finally broke his silence on Badshah, stating in an interview that he had ignored the rapper’s jabs for over a decade. “A fight happens when two people are involved, but for ten years, one man kept mocking my illness, making songs about me, and I never responded,” he said. “He apologised, but he’s the kind of person who spits and then licks it back.” Ouch.

On the other hand, Badshah tried to extend an olive branch. During a concert in Dehradun, he told fans, “I want to move on. There were fewer people trying to bring us together than those trying to pull us apart.” But judging by Honey’s latest remarks, the reconciliation might have been wishful thinking.

Honey Singh’s grand comeback

Despite the drama, Honey is charging full speed ahead. His Millionaire India Tour will take him to ten major cities, including Delhi, Indore, Pune, and Kolkata. Once the king of Indian rap with bangers like Brown Rang and Dope Shope, Honey had disappeared for a few years due to health struggles. But now, he’s back on stage, reclaiming his throne—one diss at a time.
