New Delhi: Controversial actress and model Poonam Pandey took a holy dip at the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. She took part in the amrit snaan held at the Maha Kumbh of the Mauni Amavasya. Several celebrities have visited the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 to seek blessings and take the holy dip.

Some of the celebrities who visited Prayagraj include Milind Soman, Remo D’Souza, Kabir Khan, Himansh Kohli, Anupam Kher, Avinash Tiwary, Guru Randhawa, Adah Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Mamta Kulkarni, Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson, among others. Now, Poonam Pandey is the latest celebrity to join the list.

Poonam Pandey at Maha Kumbh 2025

On Wednesday (January 29), Poonam Pandey took to her Instagram Stories to share a few pictures from her spiritual trip to Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. She took a holy dip as a part of the amrit snaan at the Maha Kumbh. In the pictures, she is seen donning a black kurta and praying with folded hands. Sharing a picture from her dip, she wrote, “Shakti bhale hi kam ho jaaye shraddha kam nahi honi chhaiye. Om Namah Shivaay (Even if strength diminishes, faith should not. Om Namah Shivay.)” In another post, she wrote, “Sab paap dhul gaye mere (My all sins have washed off).”

Earlier, Poonam shared a video on her Instagram Story where she was seen stuck in traffic. In the clip, she mentioned being stuck with a hundred other people.

Maha Kumbh stampede

In an unfortunate incident, at least 30 people were killed and 60 others injured in a pre-dawn stampede at the Sangam area of the Maha Kumbh. The tragedy occurred as millions of Hindu pilgrims rushed to bathe in the holy river on one of the most auspicious days in the Hindu calendar. Actress Poonam Pandey reacted to the tragic stampede and called it “very unfortunate”. Meanwhile, the 45-day-long Maha Kumbh 2025 began on January 13 and will be concluded on February 26.
