CID is streaming on Netflix: All the DETAILS about the popular crime show

New Delhi: Fans of CID, rejoice! The legendary crime thriller that defined Indian television is making its way to Netflix. After years of solving cases and delivering the iconic “Daya, darwaza tod do!” (Daya, break the door!), ACP Pradyuman and his team are back, this time on a global streaming giant.

The second season of CID has already marked its return on Sony TV and Sony LIV, but now, fans have an additional platform to binge-watch their favourite detective series. Scroll down to read the details!

CID on Netflix

Netflix is now streaming 18 episodes of CID Season 2 starting Friday, February 21. New episodes will drop every Saturday and Sunday at 10 PM from February 22 onwards.

Netflix India made the official announcement on Thursday, posting on social media: “CID, ab Netflix ke darwaze par bhi. Kal se dekhiye CID naye season ke saare released episodes Netflix par bhi! Saath hi naye episodes har Shanivaar aur Ravivaar raat 10 baje. #CIDonNetflix” (CID is now at Netflix’s door too. Watch all released episodes of the new season on Netflix starting tomorrow! New episodes will stream every Saturday and Sunday at 10 PM.)

CID Season 2 cast

Starring Shivaji Satam as the sharp-witted ACP Pradyuman, Dayanand Shetty as the powerhouse cop Daya, and Aditya Srivastava as the ever-intelligent Abhijeet, CID has enjoyed a massive following since its debut in 1998. The show became a pop culture phenomenon, known for its high-stakes investigations, dramatic one-liners, and gripping storytelling.

For over 20 years, CID ruled the small screen, completing a record-breaking 1500 episodes before concluding in 2018. Its revival in December 2024, after a six-year break, brought waves of nostalgia for old fans while introducing a new generation to the legendary detective team.
