New Delhi: K-Pop renaissance seems to be upon us. With major bands coming together this year, the genre might have a new wave of music and fans. One such group is the four-member girl group BLACKPINK. That’s right. After their 2023 Born Pink world tour concluded, the members dispersed to make their own music and gain an individual media presence. Now, the four members, Jennie, Lisa, Rose and Jisoo are set to comeback with a brand new world tour.

BLACKPINK’s official social media accounts and channels had a reset as they shared a 21-second clip that begins with Blinks lighting up massive stadiums. As the camera zooms in, we catch a glimpse of the stars of the show, BLACKPINK, under the spotlight. The stunning teaser has been enough for fans to freak out over.

BLACKPINK’s respective companies are yet to reveal details regarding the upcoming world tour’s cities or dates. And fans cannot wait enough. After this excitement set in, fans quickly speculated whether this tour announcement could bring more good news. It’s been a while since Blinks have heard the quartet together, and this announcement has raised hopes for perhaps a new album in the works.

There is a possibility that BLACKPINK might release their new music around May or June 2025. Some fans speculate that the companies might aim for a resurgence by pitting BTS’ comeback against BLACKPINK. If we take past release patterns into account, it is possible that this theory might come to life.

Blackpink’s solo record deals

For context, each of the BLACKPINK members renewed their contracts with YG Entertainment to remain a group. However, they have since ventured into solo endeavours – Jennie signed a deal with Columbia Records, Lisa with RCA Records, Jisoo with Warner Records and Rose with Atlantic Records.
