New Delhi: Stray Kids’ Felix has been sidelined from the group’s fan meeting, SKZ 5’CLOCK, after suffering a fracture in a minor car accident. JYP Entertainment confirmed the news and assured the fans that the K-pop idol is recovering and receiving proper medical attention.
JYP Entertainment released an official statement on Sunday (February 16) detailing the incident. According to the agency, the No Problem crooner was returning home from a schedule on February 15 when his vehicle was involved in a minor collision.
Felix gets injured in car accident
The statement read, “While returning home from his schedule on February 15 (Sat), Stray Kids member Felix was involved in a minor car accident. After the fan meeting, Felix was in a vehicle (Carnival) that was slowly making its way from the Inspire Arena parking lot towards the main lobby when a shuttle bus, moving slowly behind, collided with the left rear side of the vehicle.”
Though the accident itself was not severe, the impact caused Felix to shift his weight suddenly, leading him to collide with the armrest inside the car. This resulted in a fracture that required immediate medical attention.
Felix to skip SKZ 5’CLOCK fan meeting
Following the accident, Felix was taken to the hospital, where doctors advised rest and proper treatment for his injury. As a result, he will not be attending Stray Kids’ highly anticipated fan meeting scheduled for February 16.
JYP Entertainment reassured fans, stating, “Felix is currently resting and focusing on his recovery. We sincerely apologise to fans surprised by this sudden news. Please be assured that the health and recovery of the artist is our top priority, and we will provide all necessary support.”
Fans pour in support and well-wishes
As soon as the news broke, fans flooded social media with messages of support, sending Felix wishes for a speedy recovery. Hashtags like #GetWellSoonFelix and #StayStrongFelix started trending, showcasing the love and concern from STAYs worldwide.
Many fans also expressed frustration over the incident, calling for better safety measures for idols during transportation. JYP Entertainment acknowledged these concerns, stating that they will “strengthen measures to ensure that our artist can travel in a safer environment.”
