New Delhi: Actress Tanishaa Mukerji opened up about her childhood fights with her sister Kajol, freezing her eggs, and why she wished her mother Tanuja wasn’t a ‘working mother,’ and more.”. She further said, “My mother used to get scared of the fact that Kajol would kill me one day. She had a very bad temper when she was a kid. My mom used to be very scared.”

Tanishaa on freezing her eggs

Tanishaa Mukerji also opened up about freezing her eggs and recalled how she was made to feel old. She revealed that when she went to her doctor at the age of 31 to freeze her eggs, the doctor told her that she didn’t need to because she was too young. However, when she visited her doctor at 38, she was advised, “Yes, you must”. So, it is a good thing for people who are aware that they want to do it.”

‘Women should stay at home’: Tanishaa

Actress Tanishaa also expressed that she wishes her mom wasn’t a working mother, adding that they didn’t have enough money and Tanuja would work two to three shifts. She also shared that “only a mother can raise a child” and no one else. The Neal ‘n’ Nikki actress added, “I just feel that women should be home with their children because only a mother can really teach the child, bring up the child and give the child the nurturing the child needs. Only a mother can do this. You can’t get this from your school, or nanny, or maid. I am not very big on ‘leave your child and go to work.”

She also strongly feels that if one decides to have a child, they should dedicate the first five years of their life to raising them before returning to work.
