New Delhi: Nearly five years after Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic death, his father KK Singh remains hopeful for justice. The Bombay High Court is set to hear a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on February 19 and will reopen discussions around the mysterious deaths of Sushant and his former manager, Disha Salian.
In an interaction with ANI, KK Singh expressed renewed optimism, believing that the court proceedings might finally bring clarity. “I hope that whatever comes out of the court will be right. And hopefully, it will come out soon. We hoped for justice with the CBI, but it didn’t do its job on time. Now that it has come to the court, there is a hope that justice will be obtained,” he said.

He also emphasised his emotional struggle over the past five years, stating, “It is natural to have an emotional moment of five years. There was only one boy. This happened to him. One can imagine what will happen to the father.” The late actor’s father remains convinced that Sushant did not die by suicide and believes that the truth will emerge in court.
For the unversed, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020. The case quickly spiralled into controversy, leading to an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The postmortem report, conducted at Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital, listed the cause of death as asphyxia due to hanging. However, debates and conspiracy theories have continued to cloud the case.
The PIL, filed by Rashid Khan Pathan, President of the Supreme Court and High Court Litigants Association of India, is expected to demand a more detailed probe into the circumstances of Sushant’s death and its possible connections.
