Padma Awards 2025 LIVE UPDATES: Winners to be announced today

New Delhi: The winners of Padma Awards 2025 will be announced on Saturday (January 25), just a day ahead of Republic Day. The nominations and recommendations were concluded on September 15, 2024. Padma Awards are the highest civilian Awards of the country and are conferred into three categories – Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.

Padma Awards are given in different fields including art, social work, public affairs, sports, among others. The Padma Awards are conferred by the President of India at ceremonial functions which are held at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Last year, veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty received the Padma Bhushan Award. Other celebs who were conferred were veteran Punjabi actress Nirmal Rishi, Vyjayanthimala, Chiranjeevi, Venkaiah Naidu, and Usha Uthup, among others.
