Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt to team up for Hollywood thriller? VIRAL clip sparks buzz

New Delhi: Actor Salman Khan is shooting in Saudi Arabia but not for Sikandar. In fact, the 59-year-old star is filming a cameo for a big-budget Hollywood thriller. The shoot started on February 17 at AlUla Studios, a newly opened production facility. A video from the set shows him in a cream suit in what looks like a restaurant, suggesting an action scene.

Bollywood’s Munna Bhai, aka Sanjay Dutt, is also reportedly expected to appear in the film. However, he wasn’t seen in the viral clip. Filming is set to finish by February 19. Scroll down to read more about their upcoming project.

Salman Khan’s first look from Hollywood thriller

The film’s details are secret due to confidentiality agreements, but sources say it’s an American thriller with important scenes featuring Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt. The three-day shoot started after Salman Khan’s team reached Riyadh on Sunday morning. “Salman and Sanjay are widely recognised, especially in the Middle East. Their scenes have been crafted to leave an impact,” a source told Mid-Day.

AlUla is famous for its stunning desert scenery and ancient architecture and is becoming a popular location for international film productions. Hollywood films like Gerard Butler’s spy thriller Kandahar (2023) were previously shot there. This rising interest aligns with Saudi Arabia’s goal of establishing itself as a global entertainment hub.

Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt movies

Salman and Sanjay have previously collaborated in several Bollywood films, including Saajan (1991), Chal Mere Bhai (2000), and Yeh Hai Jalwa (2002). Their on-screen chemistry has always been a crowd-puller. Last year, the two reunited for Old Money, a track by Indo-Canadian rapper AP Dhillon. The music video blends Bollywood nostalgia with contemporary Punjabi music.

Salman Khan’s Sikandar

On the professional front, Salman Khan will next be seen in Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Prateik Babbar as the antagonist, and Satyaraj and Sharman Joshi in key roles. While fans are eagerly waiting for the film, the Bollywood superstar has now left everyone super excited. On Tuesday, Salman took to his social media handles and shared a new poster of Sikander.
