Katrina Kaif visits Maha Kumbh Mela with mother-in-law: ‘I am very fortunate…’

New Delhi: Celebrities and personalities from across the world are travelling to Uttar Pradesh to visit the holy festival of Maha Kumbh Mela this year. Taking a dip into the sacred waters of the Triveni Sangam is said to clear the human conscience and help them acquire ‘moksha’. Celebrities such as Anupam Khet, Rajkummar Rao, Juhi Chawla, and the Ambani family have all made their visits.
Today (February 24), Katrina Kaif visited the festival in Prayagraj along with her mother-in-law, Vicky Kaushal’s mother. Take a look at what the actress had to say about her spiritual experience.
Katrina Kaif visits Maha Kumbh Mela
While speaking about her experience, Katrina Kaif spoke to ANI and expressed gratefulness and excitement for being able to be a part of the event. “I am very fortunate that I could come here this time. I am really happy and grateful. I met Swami Chidanand Saraswati and took his blessings. I am just starting my experience here,” said Katrina Kaif. She further gushed about the energy and beauty of the place and showed excitement for the journey ahead. At the event, she visited the Parmarth Niketan and met Swami Chidanand Saraswati at his ashram at the Maha Kumbh campsite.

Similarly, Katrina Kaif’s husband, actor Vicky Kaushal also visited the sacred event on February 13, ahead of his Chhaava’s release.
Earlier today, another celeb, Akshay Kumar was spotted taking a dip at the Triveni Sangam and praised the well-organised arrangements at the event. For those unversed, the historic Maha Kumbh Mela takes place once in 12 years and is currently nearing its conclusion. The final bathing ritual will take place on February 26, on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
