In an interview after their wedding, Prateik and Priya Babbar stated, “Everyone who mattered and is family was with us.” Further, in a conversation with the Hindustan Times, Priya clarified that no family member was missing from the wedding celebrations. “Our families were there, including my parents, his aunts who raised him, his nana-nani, and everyone who mattered and is family was with us,” she added.

However, on the other hand, Arya Babbar, Raj Babbar’s son from his first marriage, stated that Prateik seemed to have been under someone’s influence. “He seems to be deliberately distancing himself from our side of the family. That was his choice.”

Prateik Babbar’s family history

Prateik Babbar is the son of actor Raj Babbar and the late Smita Patil in 1986. His mother tragically passed away shortly after his birth due to family complications. Following Smita’s demise, Raj Babbar reunited with his first wife Nadira Babbar while Prateik was raised by Smita’s parents. This family dynamic might have led to quite a few complications within the family.

Additionally, for those unversed, this occasion marks the Prateik Babbar’s second marriage. In 2019, the actor tied the knot with Sanya Sagar, an actress and a film producer. However, the couple parted ways a year later and their divorce was finalised in 2023.
