Sky Force Day 5 collection: Akshay Kumar starrer sees further drop at Box Office

New Delhi: Sky Force seems to be struggling to make a significant impact at the Box Office on weekdays. After a strong showing on Republic Day, the Akshay Kumar starrer is now apparently finding it challenging to attract large crowds to theaters. When compared to Monday (January 27, 2025), the action drama film’s collection dropped further on Tuesday (January 28, 2025).

According to Sacnilk, early estimates suggest that Sky Force earned Rs 5.75 crore on Day 5. If the figure turns out to be accurate, the total collection of the Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur directorial now stands at Rs 75 crore in India.

If we talk about global figures, the industry tracker reports that the much-talked-about movie has grossed Rs 89.5 crore worldwide. Now, it would be really interesting to see how the flick performs at the Box Office as the week progresses.

For the unversed, Sky Force features Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar in the lead and marks the debut of newcomer Veer Pahariya in Hindi cinema. The movie also stars Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur, Sharad Kelkar, Mohit Chauhan, Manish Choudhary and Varun Badola in important roles.

The film brings to the screen the untold story of India’s first and deadliest airstrike. The plot revolves around IAF officer T Vijaya (played by Pahariya), who goes missing in action during the 1965 India-Pakistan War. The narrative follows Kumar’s character, fellow IAF officer KO Ahuja, as he embarks on a mission to locate Vijaya.

Produced by Maddock Films, Sky Force highlights India’s retaliatory strike on Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase during the 1965 Indo-Pak air war. Released on Friday (January 24, 2025), to make the most of the Republic Day weekend, the film recently hosted a special screening attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh alongside its lead actors. It opened to mostly positive reviews from critics.
