Chhaava BO collection Day 13: Vicky Kaushal starrer soars high on Mahashivratri

New Delhi: Chhaava, starring Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal in the lead, is unstoppable at the Box Office. The historical film, directed by renowned filmmaker Laxman Utekar, left all the recent releases behind and performed exceptionally well on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri.

According to Sacnilk, rough data indicates that the much-talked-about movie raked in Rs 23 crore on Wednesday (February 26, 2025), marking its 13th day in cinemas. If the number turns out to be accurate, then the total collection of the flick now stands at Rs 386.25 crore at the Box Office in India.

If we talk about global figures, the industry tracker further states that Chhaava has collected Rs 509.75 crore at the worldwide Box Office. You will be amazed to know that it has also emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025 by attracting massive footfalls in theaters.

Chhaava plot

The storyline of Chhaava revolves around Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who was the second king of the Maratha Empire and the eldest son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It is said to be an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Chhaava features music by Academy Award-winning composer AR Rahman, with lyrics penned by critically acclaimed Irshad Kamil and Kshitij Patwardhan. It also stars Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, Neil Bhoopalam as Prince Muhammad Akbar, Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite, Vineet Kumar Singh as Kavi Kalash and Kiran Karmarkar as Annaji Datto Sachiv.

The production company recently took to social media to share an exciting piece of news with cinema lovers. It revealed that Chhaava is all set to roar in the Telugu language by popular demand. The dubbed version is scheduled to be released on March 7, 2025. Now, it would be interesting to see how the film performs in Telugu in the coming days.

Chhaava opened to mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers. It was hugely lauded for its heart-winning narrative and compelling performances by the star cast.
