New Delhi: There was a time when Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan were among the most loved celebrity duos in India. They not only enjoyed a massive fan following but also set relationship goals for many. However, things took an unexpected turn and they eventually parted ways. But what led to trouble in their paradise? Was it a misunderstanding? Recently, Rakesh Roshan broke his silence on his son’s divorce.

The 75-year-old filmmaker told the Yuvaa YouTube channel, “Whatever has happened is between the couple. For me, Sussanne is Sussanne.” He said that they were the ones who fell in love and they were also the ones who had a misunderstanding. “And they have to solve it,” Rakesh further stated. He added, “For us, she came into our house and she is still a member of the family.”

For the unversed, Hrithik and Sussanne tied the knot in 2000 in a private ceremony. They are parents to two sons, named Hrehaan and Hridhaan. Their divorce was finalised in November 2014 after 14 years of marriage.

Krrish 4 update

As the conversation progressed, the renowned director also opened up about his upcoming project, titled Krrish 4. Rakesh mentioned, “What happens today is that sometimes the budget goes very high, making it difficult to proceed. So we trim some scenes and we struggle to balance it. But now, we have reached a position where we can manage it without disturbing the story. Financially as well, we can make it within budget.”

It is to be noted that Krrish 3 was released in cinemas over a decade ago, on November 1, 2013. Since then, fans have eagerly awaited its next installment. The Hrithik Roshan starrer also featured Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi in pivotal roles. Upon its theatrical release, the film turned out to be a massive commercial success and received mostly positive reviews.
