BTS’ Jin lends his voice to When the Stars Gossip OST – Release date revealed

New Delhi: BTS’ oldest member Jin is all set to mesmerise fans with his vocals in the main OST, Close to You for the ongoing K-drama When the Stars Gossip. Starring Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin, the series revolves around the unique love story between an astronaut and a space tourist set against the backdrop of a space station.

On Monday (January 20), a teaser for Close to You dropped, sparking excitement among BTS ARMY and K-drama fans alike. The full track is scheduled to be released on January 26 and will accompany pivotal romantic moments between Gong Ryong (Lee Min Ho) and Commander Eve (Gong Hyo Jin).

This isn’t Jin’s first foray into OSTs. His previous songs, including Yours for Jirisan and It’s Definitely You with fellow BTS member V for Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, were widely praised for their emotional depth.

Directed by Park Shin Woo (It’s Okay to Not Be Okay) and penned by Seo Sook Hyang (Don’t Dare to Dream), the romantic comedy explores the unexpected connection between two strangers in the vast expanse of space. Jin’s solo journey

Jin has been thriving in his solo endeavours since completing his military service on June 13, 2024. In November 2024, he released his highly anticipated debut solo album, Happy, featuring six tracks, including Running Wild and Heart on the Window. The album showcased his versatility and emotional resonance as a solo artist.

Fans can also catch Jin in his variety show RUN JIN, a spin-off of the beloved group show Run BTS. The K-pop idol debuted with BTS in 2013, alongside RM, J-Hope, Suga, V, Jungkook, and Jimin. Over the years, he has made a mark as a singer, performer and now a soloist.
