New Delhi: The controversy surrounding Ranveer Allahbadia and the inappropriate remarks he made on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent does not seem to be slowing down at the moment. The duo, along with other celebrities present during the recently released episode of the YouTube-based show, are receiving widespread criticism from all over for promoting indecent content. Amid all the buzz, the 27-year-old comedian recently put his humorous foot forward while referencing the situation.

If social media buzz is to be believed, a fan named Shubham Dutta shared his experience of Samay’s Edmonton (city in Canada) show on Facebook. It is believed that Samay managed to garner laughs from the crowd despite visible stress.

“Thanks for paying my lawyer’s fees,” Samay said during the show. He wittily added that there would be many moments during the performance when the audience might expect him to say something really funny, but they should remember BeerBiceps at those times.

He reportedly ended the show by saying, “Maybe my time is going bad, but remember, my friends, I am time.” This clearly shows that Samay’s humour quotient is as high as ever, even at this point in his life.

Maharashtra women’s panel calls for probe

The Maharashtra State Commission for Women chairperson – Rupali Chakankar – was quoted as saying by PTI on Tuesday (February 18, 2025) that they have directed the Mumbai police to investigate a complaint alleging that the content of India’s Got Latent was harmful to the younger generation. She expressed confidence that the police would take appropriate action.

The whole controversy erupted when Ranveer Allahbadia made a comment about parents and sex on the comedian’s show – India’s Got Latent. Following the release of the episode online, multiple FIRs were registered against Allahbadia. Also, the Maharashtra Cyber Department summoned him to record his statement on Monday (February 24, 2025) in connection with the row.
