New Delhi: Telugu actor Allu Arjun, who is known for his acting prowess and stylish performances, has delivered several blockbuster hits over the years. However, some of his movies didn’t receive the recognition they deserved at the time of their release. In our latest edition, we bring you the list of Allu Arjun’s movies that are considered underrated gems.

Popularly known as the ‘Stylish Star’, Allu Arjun has created a niche for himself in the Indian film industry. His last release, Pushpa 2: The Rule, broke several records at the box office by collecting Rs 1740.95 crore worldwide and Rs 1233.35 crore India net.

1. Vedam (2010)

Vedam starring Allu Arjun in a raw and intense role as Cable Raju was critically acclaimed but didn’t perform as expected at the Box Office. However, the Telugu movie received recognition for its powerful storytelling. The film is directed by Krish and revolves around the lives of five people whose destinies are entangled when they become victims of a terrorist attack. The film is available to watch on MX Player.

2. Paragu (2008)

Directed by Bhasker, the Telugu movie Paragu is a romantic drama that didn’t receive massive commercial success but his performance as a romantic hero was widely appreciated. The film, also starring Sheela Kaur, revolves around a group of friends tasked with finding the daughter of a village head, who believes that she has eloped. 3. Iddarammayilatho (2013)

Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Iddarammayilatho is a romance action film starring Allu Arjun and Amala Paul. The film has visually stunning sequences along with a good music score but it didn’t get the recognition it deserved. The film revolves around Aakansha, who happens to read the love story of Sanju and Komali in a diary. She then goes to meet Sanju and eventually falls in love with him. 4. Arya 2 (2009)

While Allu Arjun starrer Arya had a cult following, Arya 2 did not perform well at the Box Office. However, the film’s music by Devi Prasad remains evergreen. Arjun’s portrayal as an obsessive and complex lover boy was ahead of its time in Sukumar’s directorial. The film follows the story of two orphan childhood friends who choose different paths after they are separated. 5. Happy (2006)

Happy starring Allu Arjun and Genelia D’Souza is a feel-good romantic drama that gained appreciation over time but did not perform well at the Box Office. The film, also starring Manoj Bajpayee, follows the story of an orthodox politician’s daughter, who is set to marry a powerful man but she blames a pizza delivery boy for her situation, who tries to set things right. 6. Varudu (2010)

Starring Allu Arjun, Arya, and Suhasini Maniratnam, the film Varudu is directed by Gunasekhar. The film revolves around a man named Sandeep, who works in the US and asks his parents to find a bride for him but his life gets upside down when she gets kidnapped by an obsessive gangster. The movie wasn’t a hit but its action-packed sequences made it stand out. Varudu is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video and Aha.
