Mamta Kulkarni removed as Mahamandaleshwar, expelled from Kinnar Akhara

New Delhi: According to the latest updates, former Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni has now been expelled from the Kinnar Akhara. The action was reportedly taken on Friday (January 31, 2025). The 52-year-old star was inducted and elevated to the title of Mahamandaleshwar at the ongoing Maha Kumbh festival in Prayagraj a few days back.

Kinnar Akhara founder Rishi Ajay Das was quoted as saying, “This is not the Bigg Boss show that you do during Maha Kumbh and then for three years you don’t do any work. Both Mamata Kulkarni and Acharya Mahamandleshwar, Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi, will be removed from their post.” Have a look:

Earlier this month, Kulkarni performed pind daan at the Sangam Ghat. She told ANI that she did it following the orders of Mahadev, Maha Kaali and her Guru, as they were the ones who chose this day.
