New Delhi: Aashram Season 3 Part 2‘s trailer is finally out and fans are excited to catch the show on MX Player on February 27, 2025. The trailer shows the Pammi on a path of revenge against Bobby Deol’s Baba Nirala. Aiming to take a corrupted and filthy man like Baba Nirala down, Pammi gets on the field and plays dirty to get her way. With anticipation around the new season, during the trailer launch event, Bobby Deol spoke about his role as Nirala and why he chose it.

At the same event, the producer for the series, Prakash Jha revealed that he chose Bobby Deol for a sinister role like Nirala because the actor had an innocent look to him. Using this to the show’s advantage, the producer wished to cast a hero for the role and bring out a certain ‘darkness’ in him. As for Bobby, this is why he chose to play a negative this time.

Why did Bobby Deol choose to play sinister Godman Baba Nirala in Aashram?

During the event, Bobby Deol explained that an actor gets an opportunity to be someone else without being that person, and he enjoys that aspect of his career. As for why he accepted this role, Bobby stated, “We are showing what’s happening in our country. Things like this happen in this country that’s why the viewership is so high. People can identify with the show.”

The actor further added, “Hero ke role milne nahi waale the mujhe toh isiliye meine kisiko ko bataya nahi.” Bobby Deol revealed that he told no one except his wife about the show and simply looked forward to the audience’s reaction. Safe to say, he was satisfied to see that the reactions were great as friends and family reached out to him to commend him for his performance.

In an old interview with Spotboye, Bobby Deol revealed that Dharmendra, his father, was very happy with his role. “But, when I did this show my dad and brother Sunny started getting calls and they were so happy that one of them has been able to do something different and has broken their positive image,” stated Bobby Deol.

Moreover, at the event, Bobby Deol went on to express his gratitude towards Prakash Jha and explained how Prakash Jha found him at the right time. Revealing that he was searching for work, but failed. That’s when a casting agent reached out to him with Prakash Jha’s series. Bobby Deol saw this as an opportunity to work with the filmmaker. He revealed that it was Prakash Jha who urged him to pick the role and embody the character in front of the camera.
