New Delhi: Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar’s much-anticipated Tamil film, Vidaamuyarchi, is scheduled to be released in theatres on February 6. The makers have opened the advance booking sales for the movie and it has already collected an impressive first-day advance booking collection.

The film is expected to open at the Box Office with a solid collection, considering the substantial buzz and advance booking numbers. The film is also expected to beat the advance booking of Venkatesh Daggubati starrer Sankranthi Vasthunam. Let’s explore further details!

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Ajith Kumar’s much-awaited film, Vidaamuyarchi, is likely to collect Rs 14.09 crore with blocked seats in all formats on its opening day. The movie has already sold over four lakh tickets for the Tamil (2D) version. The film’s pre-sales are likely to take the collection beyond expectations by Wednesday (February 5) evening.

The impressive pre-sales numbers suggest that the film is likely to surpass the Box Office collections of Daaku Maharaaj and Sankranthi Vasthunam. While Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer collected Rs 9.10 crore through its advance booking sales, Venkatesh Daggubati’s latest release earned Rs 12.40 crore from its pre-sales.

Inspired by the 1997 American thriller Breakdown, the film follows a man on a journey to find his missing wife, who has been kidnapped by a notorious gang in Azerbaijan. The film has been primarily shot in Azerbaijan and Thailand. According to reports, Ajith Kumar has charged a whooping Rs 105 crore for his film. While Arjun’s remuneration for the film is Rs 5 crore, Trisha reportedly charged Rs 6 crore.

The film was initially scheduled for release in January 2025 but was postponed due to undisclosed reasons. The film will now be released on February 6 in theatres near you.
