New Delhi: Vicky Kaushal’s much-awaited historical drama Chhaava is all set to hit the big screen on February 14. But no film that touches upon the sensitive beliefs of the people will be premiered without some last-minute tweaks from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Speaking of which, the censor board has made multiple modifications to Chhaava as per a report by TV9 Bharatvarsh. This includes altering dialogues, muting certain words and even removing an entire scene from the film. Scroll down to read more!

Chhaava’s certification and deleted scenes

CBFC has officially granted Chhaava a U/A 16+ certification. However, the board requested multiple changes before approving the film. One major addition is an audio disclaimer at the end which will mention the book on which the film is based.

One of the most notable changes involves a scene depicting Maratha warriors dressed in sarees. CBFC has asked the makers to remove this sequence entirely. The board has also muted a certain expletive used in the film. Additionally, the word Ameen has been replaced with Jai Bhavani in a dialogue.
