New Delhi: On the joyous occasion of Valentine’s Day, actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut opened her cafe, named The Mountain Story, in Himachal Pradesh’s Manali on Friday (February 14, 2025). The 38-year-old star took to Instagram to share some exciting pictures from the opening night with her millions of followers.

According to PTI, Kangana said in her message to the guests that The Mountain Story was a dream nurtured since childhood that has now blossomed in the heart of the Himalayas. She added that the cafe was more than just a place to dine and called it a love story – a tribute to the aromas of her mother’s kitchen and the serene beauty of these mountains.

The Queen of Bollywood mentioned that each dish on The Mountain Story’s menu was crafted with care, using fresh and locally sourced ingredients that celebrate the richness of their land. It is to be noted that the cafe is situated about four kilometers from Manali, on the Manali-Naggar road in Prini village.

The Mountain Story offers guests the best of Himachali cuisine in a cozy setting, reflecting the region’s rich heritage. The architect of the cafe Duni Chand told the news agency that it was built in the local Kath Kuni style. The construction of the two-storey cafe commenced in 2020. For the unversed, Kath Kuni is said to be a traditional style of architecture in which alternating layers of wood and stone are used to build structures in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

The Mountain Story food price

The cafe, open in a beautiful location, offers Pahadi vegetarian thali priced at Rs 680. On the other hand, Pahadi non-vegetarian thali is available at Rs 850. The Mountain Story also serves several other dishes, including the local Himachali dish Siddu and Mumbai Vada Pav.

Kangana, in a promotional video launched on social media earlier, maintained that the cafe aims to provide a nostalgic experience reminiscent of a mother’s kitchen. The Mountain Story boasts traditional Himachali dishes with a modern twist.
