New Delhi: The Internet is abuzz with excitement over actor Vijay’s final cinematic outing, titled Jana Nayagan. On the occasion of Indian Republic Day, the 50-year-old star took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to unveil the second look of the political action thriller.

In the latest visual, Vijay can be seen wielding a whip, leaving fans beaming with joy. Interestingly, the poster bears a striking resemblance to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and legendary film icon MG Ramachandran (MGR). Check it out:

In the poster, Vijay is standing inside a photo frame against a red background, flicking a whip in the air. “Naan Aanaiyitaal,” it reads. The words roughly translate to “When I command.”

Jana Nayagan star cast

The much-talked-about movie has been directed by renowned filmmaker H Vinoth. It marks Vijay’s 69th project as a lead actor. The film also features Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain and Priyamani in pivotal roles.

Produced by KVN Productions, Jana Nayagan boasts music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan, and editing by Pradeep E Ragav. Vijay revealed the title of the film through a poster showcasing him taking a selfie with a sea of people.

Further details about Jana Nayagan have not been disclosed by the makers. However, upon its release, the Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam chief will reportedly focus entirely on public life.

The spy action thriller attracted massive footfalls in theaters and emerged as one of the highest-grossing films of 2024. Produced by AGS Entertainment, the storyline of GOAT revolved around a RAW agent’s mission that goes awry and resurfaces to haunt him as well as his family years later.

According to Sacnilk, The Greatest Of All Time grossed Rs 296.75 crore in India. On a global scale, the industry tracker reported that the movie raked in Rs 457 crore at the Box Office worldwide.
