New Delhi: Veteran star Shatrughan Sinha has weighed in on the shocking attack on Saif Ali Khan. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, the actor expressed his concern and shared an AI-generated photo of Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan from a hospital setting. The image showed Saif lying on a hospital bed while Kareena sat beside him, both smiling.

Calling the incident “sad and unfortunate,” Shatrughan wrote, “Very sad & unfortunate the tragic attack on our near, dear & loved #SaifAliKhan which injured him severely. Thank God he is healing well to recovery.” He also extended warm regards to Kareena Kapoor Khan, whom he described as his “all-time favourite” and Raj Kapoor’s granddaughter.

Shatrughan Sinha appealed for restraint, urging people to avoid the “blame game.” He commended the efforts of Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CMs Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde in handling the situation. He added, “Law will take its own course as things are moving in the right direction. Get well soon.”

However, the AI-generated photo accompanying his post sparked mixed reactions online. One user asked, “Why share an AI-generated image of Saif and Kareena?” Another added, “What’s the need for this photo?” Despite the debate, fans united in wishing Saif a speedy recovery.

Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing case

Saif Ali Khan was attacked in the early hours of Thursday at his Bandra apartment. The actor sustained severe injuries, including stab wounds to his thoracic spine. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where surgeons successfully removed a 2.5-inch blade. Saif has since been moved out of the ICU and is said to be recovering well.

Mumbai Police revealed that the suspect apprehended in Thane early Sunday morning was allegedly involved in the attack. A part of the weapon used was recovered from Saif’s residence. In a parallel development, another suspect was arrested by the Railway Protection Force in Raipur while travelling on the Jnaneswari Express.
