New Delhi: In a shocking turn of events, pop star Shakira was recently rushed to a hospital amid her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour. And, as a result, one of her upcoming shows in Peru has been canceled.

The concerning news was shared by the 48-year-old diva through her recent Instagram Story. This unexpected development has left fans and music lovers worried about her health.

What happened to Shakira?

For the unversed, Shakira was admitted to a medical facility due to an abdominal issue. On the popular photo-sharing platform, she revealed that doctors had informed her she was not in good enough condition to perform on stage.

Shakira expressed sadness over not being able to entertain her admirers with her concert, which was scheduled to take place. “I have been looking forward to reuniting with my incredible fans here in Peru,” she posted.

The renowned singer hinted that she would be discharged from the hospital soon. “My team and the promoters are already working on a new date to communicate to you. Thank you all for understanding, I love you all,” she added.

Also, at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards on February 2, 2025, she emerged victorious in the Best Latin Pop Album category for her album for Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, her first in seven long years.
