New Delhi: With Saif Ali Khan moving out of Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, all eyes are now on his recovery as investigations into the high-profile stabbing case continue. Fans are raising questions about the actor’s security and the motive behind the intruder’s attack.

The accused, identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, was arrested by the police from Thane city on Sunday (January 19, 2025). The 30-year-old individual is a Bangladeshi national. But how did the cops track him? Well, let’s find out!

According to a timesofindia.com report, an official was quoted as saying that Shariful lost a housekeeping job at a Thane restaurant in 2024 when its contract with the manpower agency owned by Jitendra Pandey ended. The accused was reportedly traced by the police after Pandey provided his location in Worli and phone number.

The media outlet was further informed that cops got to know Shariful had used an e-wallet to pay Rs 6 for a cup of tea in Worli. They also found that the accused had paid Rs 60 for a plate of bhurji pav on Saturday (January 18, 2025). Ultimately, his last location was traced to a labour camp in Thane.

Saif Ali Khan case: Latest update

Mumbai Police on Wednesday (January 22, 2025) once again arrived to inspect the security of Saif’s flat and building. A total of more than 12 security personnel have been deployed inside and outside his Sadguru Sharan building, including 5 police officers, 4 to 5 private bouncers from Ronit Roy’s agency and 3 to 4 society security guards.

The police are also planning to record Saif’s statement, which can be presented in court on Thursday (January 23, 2025) while taking the accused’s remand. The society has been asked to install a separate intercom inside Saif’s house. This led the technical staff to pursue the task. This high-tech intercom is expected to be installed by today evening.
