New Delhi: Malayalam mystery crime thriller, Rekhachithram, starring Asif Ali is expected to be released by the end of February or beginning of March 2025 on the online streaming platform, SonyLIV, as per the reports. However, an official announcement on its digital release is still awaited.

The film was released in theatres on January 9 and collected over Rs 55 crore worldwide at the global Box Office. According to the OTT Play report, SonyLIV has acquired the digital rights for Rekhachithram. Let’s delve into further details!

According to the OTT Play report, Asif Ali starrer Rekhachithram will start streaming on the SonyLIV platform in February or March 2025. However, an official confirmation by the producers or the streaming platform is still awaited. It is expected that the movie will follow the same criteria for OTT release after a 45-day theatrical run.

Set in the 1980s, the Malayalam film Rekhachithram follows the story of a police officer who investigates the murder of a young woman during the filming of a Malayalam film. However, the investigation takes an intense turn when he uncovers a decades-old mystery. After its release, the film was critically acclaimed and emerged as the top-grossing Malayalam film of the year, amassing Rs 55 crore.
