Ranveer Allahbadia row: Old video of Priyanka Chopra schooling podcaster resurfaces

New Delhi: Since the past few days, Ranveer Allahabadia has become a hot topic of discussion on social media. The renowned YouTuber, known for his podcasts with high-profile celebrities, is receiving massive criticism for his inappropriate comments on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent. Amid all the buzz, an interesting video has now resurfaced online in which he can be seen getting schooled by global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

For the unversed, the Desi Girl of Bollywood joined Ranveer Allahabadia on The Ranveer Show in 2022. The duo talked at length about multiple topics. Amid their conversation, Ranveer asked if she still goes to family functions and whether she can still do the same because of the fame angle. The question initially left Priyanka confused.

In response, PeeCee questioned him back by asking if he was saying she would not dance at the baraat of her brother’s wedding. Ranveer responded by saying, “maybe.”

This was when Priyanka jumped in with full force and assured Ranveer that she definitely would. She explained that family is most important to her. Priyanka highlighted that her fame is a byproduct of her job and does not define her, as fame is not her job. “I am not famous for a living. I work for a living, and fame comes with it. So, it is not something I can control. That is something that thrusts upon me,” she stated.

Complaint against Ranveer Allahabadia

In the wake of the controversy, a delegation of advocates in Kota on Thursday (February 13, 2025) submitted a complaint against YouTubers Ranveer Allahabadia, Samay Raina and others. Police told PTI that the action was taken against them for vulgar remarks on the show India’s Got Latent.

The delegation was led by a CLG member, advocate Hemant Sharma. They sought stern action against the YouTube-based show’s producers, host and associates for allegedly promoting obscenity and violating social and cultural values.
