‘Only one version of truth’: Actor Manchu Manoj shuts down rumours of arrest

New Delhi: Telugu actor Manchu Manoj has been in recent headlines for his public altercation with his father. On February 18, media outlets reported that Manoj was under arrest in Tirupati for unknown reasons. However, the actor has revealed what exactly happened.

In a video statement shared by Telugu One on X, Manchu Manoj claimed that on February 17, 10 police officers said that they were there on the CM’s orders. However, when the actor asked further questions, the men simply asked him to come to the police station. But, 500 meters ahead of the station, the men stopped their car and promised to come back for them. Manoj then went on to go to the police station by himself and requested reasoning for his interrogation.

But, Manoj claimed that none of the officials agreed to speak to him, and kept him waiting. “There was no arrest. I was merely visiting the police station,” said Manu Manoj. So, what exactly is going on with Manchu Manoj? Here are the recent events.

Manchu Manoj has been advocating for student welfare at Mohan Babu University and the local vendors in the surrounding areas. However, he theorised that his dedication towards this cause has put him at odds with the people involved, who have begun using intimidation tactics. For context, Manchu Manoj has been facing over 32 cases, including one by his father, against himself and his wife across various cities in India. But, the actor defended himself, suggesting that such serious issues must not be overshadowed by the attempts of those who wish to ruin his reputation with false allegations. Hinting that no matter what his personal issues might look like, he is still passionate about the said cause and will not be intimidated by these tactics.

Most recently, Manchu Manoj and his wife Bhumika Mounika attended the Jallikattu event in Chandragiri Mandal, Andhra Pradesh. For those unaware, the Jallikattu event is a bull-taming sport that majorly takes place in Tamil Nadu.
