Odia actor Uttam Mohanty in critical condition – to be airlifted for immediate care

New Delhi: Veteran Odia actor, Uttam Mohanty was hospitalised in Bhubaneshwar for three days before his health began rapidly deteriorating. The 66-year-old actor was reportedly admitted to the ICU on Friday (February 7) and underwent treatment for poor liver functions.

As per reports, the actor has been in critical condition suffering from Liver Cirrhosis. On the ventilator, Uttam Mohanty’s family was advised for him to be moved to a higher-end hospital for better treatment. According to Doctor Manoj Sahoo, the director at KIMS Cancer Centre, the actor might be moved to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram or a Hyderabad-based facility. Doctor Sahoo also added, “Uttam has been treated under my supervision for his liver-related diseases for the last couple of months. Meanwhile, his liver function almost ceased. Apart from that, he is struggling with multi-organ failure.” Further,

Uttam Mohanty’s son, Babushaan stated that his father’s condition is critical and that he was put under life support due to his liver-related ailments. After undergoing ICU treatment, Uttam Mohanty’s doctor has stated that the actor is now in stable enough condition and that he will be airlifted to another hospital.
