New Delhi: New details have emerged about the moments following the shocking attack on Saif Ali Khan. Contrary to earlier reports suggesting that Saif’s elder son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, accompanied him to the hospital, it has now been confirmed that his younger son, Taimur Ali Khan, was the one who went with him.

The alarming incident occurred in the early hours of January 16, when an intruder broke into Saif Ali Khan’s apartment. The attacker stabbed the actor six times, leaving him with serious injuries, including one where a blade was lodged in his spine. Despite the chaos, Taimur stood by his father’s side and accompanied him to Lilavati Hospital, while Kareena Kapoor Khan stayed home to look after their younger son, Jeh.

During a press conference, the team of doctors informed reporters that Saif Ali Khan walked into the hospital himself with his young son, Taimur Ali Khan, after sustaining six stab wounds. Earlier reports claimed that Ibrahim Ali Khan took Saif to the hospital. However, the actor’s spokesperson refuted these claims on Thursday.

At the time of the attack, Saif Ali Khan, his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their two sons, Taimur and Jeh, were present at home. The intruder was first spotted by the family’s nanny, who was sleeping in Jeh’s room. Upon noticing a shadow approaching Jeh, the nanny intervened to protect him but was pushed by the intruder. She then got into a scuffle with the attacker. Hearing the commotion, Saif rushed to Jeh’s room, where a fight broke out between him and the intruder, who stabbed the actor six times.

One suspect detained

CCTV evidence reveals the suspect entering Saif Ali Khan’s building with his face covered by a towel and carrying a backpack. After the attack, additional footage shows the suspect escaping the premises with his face briefly visible. Mumbai police have detained one person for questioning at the Bandra police station; however, no arrests have been made yet. Police suspect the accused may have fled the city.
