New Delhi: Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni, recently made headlines for taking the path of spirituality and becoming a Mahamandaleshwar (Hindu nun). After completing all her rituals and performing an official coronation, Mamta Kulkarni became a  Mahamandaleshwar on January 24, 2025.

Mamta Kulkarni resigns as Mahamandaleshwar

Mamta Kulkarni has officially announced her departure from the Kinnar Akhara. Although this appears to be abrupt, the resignation seems to have been long due to the conflict between Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Laxmi Narayan Tripathi and the founder of the Kinnar Akhara, Rishi Ajay Das, over giving the post of Mahamandaleshwar to Mamta Kulkarni in the Akhara.
