Kim Sae Ron’s father blames YouTuber for influencing her death: Report

New Delhi: The tragic passing of South Korean actress Kim Sae Ron has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry. Her fans and colleagues are currently mourning the 24-year-old’s untimely demise. However, her family is pointing fingers at a controversial YouTuber who had claimed that his videos contributed to her distress.

As reported by Koreaboo, during Kim Sae Ron’s funeral, her father publicly condemned a YouTuber for subjecting his daughter to relentless scrutiny. The online content creator, later identified as Lee Jin Ho, had posted multiple videos dissecting Kim’s personal life, including one harshly criticising her after she shared wedding-themed photos on social media in January.

The video, titled “Kim Sae Ron’s self-deletion again… Gone into hiding after marriage rumours? Tried contacting her directly,” accused the actress of avoiding the public eye and insincerely reflecting on her past mistakes. Lee also revealed that he had tried contacting Kim but received no response, fueling further speculation about her state of mind.

Following news of Kim’s passing, Lee Jin Ho swiftly deleted or set to private all videos related to her. However, many netizens were already aware of his previous content, including a separate exposé in which he revealed that Kim was working at a café due to financial struggles. This disclosure subjected the actress to even more online scrutiny and triggered a wave of negative attention from both the public and other YouTubers.

Reports indicate that Kim’s family is currently compiling evidence and considering legal action against the YouTuber, alleging that his content worsened her emotional turmoil.

The Bloodhounds star was found dead in her Seongsu-dong residence on February 16. A friend, who was scheduled to meet her that day, discovered her body and alerted the police. Authorities found no evidence of foul play, but an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death is ongoing.
