New Delhi: A new FIR (First Information Report) has been filed against YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina and others over obscene remarks made on the show India’s Got Latent. The FIR has been filed by the Jai Rajputana Sangh in Jaipur against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Apoorva Mukhija and others under the sections of the Information Technology Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

This is another case that has been filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, and others. Earlier, FIRs were filed with the Assam Police in Guwahati Cyber and Maharashtra Cyber Units. Let’s explore more details!

New FIR against Ranveer Allahbadia and others

After another FIR was lodged against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Apoorva Mukhija and others. The case has now been transferred to Khar police station as the incident falls under their jurisdiction. The investigations are still underway.

On Monday (February 17), The Maharashtra cyber cell summoned Ranveer Allahbadia to record his statement on February 24 in connection with the India’s Got Latent controversy.

Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has issued a new hearing date after content creators including Ranveer Allahbadia and others failed to appear for a hearing on February 17. Ranveer Allahbadia cited death threats as a reason for his request to postpone the hearing date while others cited logistical challenges. While others are expected to appear on March 6 for the questioning, Samay Raina’s hearing has been scheduled for March 11.

Apart from this, multiple FIRs have been lodged against Ranveer and Samay in Mumbai and Assam.

India’s Got Latent controversy faced significant backlash after its last episode premiered on YouTube. The controversy soon became a nationwide debate with many demanding strict action against the content creators. Last week, Samay Raina also removed all India’s Got Latent videos from his YouTube channel.
