New Delhi: Actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked during an attempted burglary at his Bandra home in Mumbai. He sustained six stab wounds, two of which were deep cuts. At 3:30 am on January 16, the actor was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital and underwent surgery. According to a report by Hindustan Times, Ibrahim Ali Khan and a house help rushed the actor to the hospital.

At 2:30 am on Thursday, an attacker attempted to break in at Saif and Kareena’s Satguru Sharan building in Bandra, Mumbai. The actor sustained six injuries and one of the cuts is closer to his spine. On Wednesday (January 15), before the attack on Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor was out for dinner with her girl gang including Karisma Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, and Rhea Kapoor. Kareena Kapoor’s team has shared an official statement which read, “There was an attempted burglary at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the Police are already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern.”

Meanwhile, as per the police, Kareena Kapoor and their children, Tamir and Jeh, were present in the house during the attack and they are safe.

During the wee hours on January 16, the burglar entered the residence of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Saif and the attacker had a scuffle and the accusedf stabbed the actor at least six times. Currently, the actor is being treated at the Lilavati Hospital and the Mumbai Police has launched a probe to trace the accused and arrest him.
