New Delhi: Ever since its announcement, fans have been excited to the core about Chhaava. As the release date of the upcoming historical action film draws near, social media is flooded with interesting posts by fans in anticipation. So, if you are also planning to watch the much-talked-about movie in theaters, here’s all you need to know.

For the unversed, Chhaava brings to the screen the legendary story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Its plot centers around the courageous Maratha ruler’s inspiring reign, which commenced with his coronation in 1681.

Chhaava star cast

In the flick, the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is played by Vicky Kaushal and the character of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb is portrayed by Akshaye Khanna. Rashmika Mandanna will be seen as Maharani Yesubai Bhonsale, Chhatrapati Maharani of the Maratha Kingdom. Chhaava reportedly also features Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Vineet Kumar Singh, Diana Penty, Santosh Juvekar, Neil Bhoopalam and Pradeep Rawat in pivotal roles.

Chhaava release date

Directed by renowned filmmaker Laxman Utekar, Chhaava has been produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films. It is scheduled to be released on the silver screen on February 14, 2025, coinciding with the joyous occasion of Valentine’s Day.

Chhaava boasts music by Academy Award-winning composer AR Rahman with lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil. It was initially slated to be released on December 6, 2024, but was later postponed.
