Chhaava Box Office collection Day 3: Vicky Kaushal starrer hits ball out of the park

New Delhi: With its gripping storyline and compelling performances by the star cast, Chhaava is not only dominating theaters but also ruling the hearts of cinema lovers. The historical drama film, in just three days, has hit a ton at the Box Office. No, we are not kidding!
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, rough data suggests that the much-talked-about movie raked in Rs 48.5 crore in India on Sunday (February 16, 2025). If the number turns out to be accurate, then the total collection of the flick now stands at Rs 116.5 crore at the domestic Box Office.
Now, it would be really interesting to see how Chhaava, directed by renowned filmmaker Laxman Utekar, performs on Monday (February 17, 2025). It is to be noted that weekdays are crucial for any release to sustain momentum and emerge victorious at the Box Office.
Chhaava star cast
Starring Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Maratha Empire founder Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Chhaava marks his third biographical film after Sardar Udham and Sam Bahadur. It took cinemas by storm on Friday (February 14, 2025), coinciding with the joyous occasion of Valentine’s Day.
The 36-year-old actor took to Instagram recently to thank fans for showering their love on Chhaava. “My heart filled with emotions seeing all your love,” he wrote.
Chhaava also features Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale, Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Divya Dutta as Soyarabai, Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum and Vineet Kumar Singh as Kavi Kalash. Produced by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films, it is said to be an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant.
The movie opened to mostly positive reviews from critics and audiences. On IMDb (Internet Movie Database), it has been rated 8.3 out of 10, based on insights from thousands of users of the platform. While Academy Award-winning musician AR Rahman composed the flick’s music, Irshad Kamil and Kshitij Patwardhan penned its lyrics.
