Abhijeet Bhattacharya cheers Udit Narayan’s ‘khiladi’ spirit after viral fan-kissing video

New Delhi: Playback singer Udit Narayan has been making headlines for his controversial viral video wherein he is seen kissing his female fans at a recent event. The 69-year-old singer also asked security personnel not to interfere in fan interactions.

The singer responded to the video and stated, “But fans think they are getting a chance to meet us, so some extend their hands for a handshake, some kiss the hands… yeh sab deewangi hoti hai. Uspe itna dhyaan nahi dena chahiye.”  Well, while the public and media are outraged by his actions, it seems like his friend and fellow singer, Abhijeet Bhattacharya praised the video. Abhijeet Bhattacharya praises Udit Narayan for viral video

You read that right. Abhijeet Bhattacharya took to this Instagram account to share a video of him on stage with Udit Narayan and wrote, “Mera Khiladi Dost” across the video. He further captioned the post, #YehKhiladiMainAnari and wrote, “Mera Khiladi dost sixers pe sixers .. love u,” in the comment section. While some fans laughed along with the singer, some denounced Udit Narayan’s actions.

Udit Narayan’s old clip kissing female singers resurfaces

Now, the internet has dug out Udit’s old video wherein he is seen kissing singers Alka Yagnik and Shreya Ghoshal at various events. So, it seems like this ‘affectionate’ attitude does not just reach his fans but also his colleagues. In a resurfaced clip, Udit Narayan kisses Alka Yagnik on the big stage of India Idol. Alka was, of course, visibly shocked and moved away during the performance. Another clip shows Udit and Alka in a similar position.

Not only Alka Yagnik, Shreya Ghoshal also found herself in a similar situation when she was accepting an award for Best Female Singer. As Shreya arrived on stage, Udit kissed her on the cheek. The singer is seen making a possibly uncomfortable face but recovers and smiles as she receives her award.
