New Delhi: Actor Mukesh Khanna has criticised YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia for making obscene remarks during his appearance on Samay Raina’s roast show, India’s Got Latent. Taking to his YouTube channel, Mukesh shared a video on his YouTube channel slamming Ranveer Allahbadia.

He further urged for strict action to deter such abusive behaviour, stating that offenders should be dealt with severely. Explore further details inside!

What did Mukesh Khanna say?

Taking to his YouTube channel Bheeshma International, Mukesh Khanna said that it’s a “serious offence and should not be taken lightly. He further added that offenders should be punished heavily in order to “discourage people in future from making such ashleel and irresponsible statements”.

He also added, “Someone asked me what do you think should be done. I said, ‘You should hold him and beat him. Make him sit on a donkey with his face painted black and make him tour the nation’.”

He further added that Ranveer Allahbadia made a “shameful comment” and all present around him “laughed” and nobody objected to him. He also said, “(If I were Shaktimaan, I would drag him and throw him into the galaxy.”

He also suggested the establishment of an “ashleel control board” to regulate inappropriate content and criticised the trend of crossing the line between comedy and vulgarity. He also stated that previous incidents involving comedians indicate a pattern of behaviour that needs to be addressed.

About the controversy

The controversy around Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina arose when Ranveer asked an inappropriate question to a contestant, sparking outrage. Later, he apologised and took responsibility for his actions. Meanwhile, two FIRs have been registered against Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia, among others in the case and the investigation is currently underway.

The Maharashtra cyber police also booked 30 individuals including artists, hosts, judges and contestants of all six episodes. Additionally, the National Commission for Women summoned Ranveer, Samay and others over their derogatory remarks. The hearing will take place on February 17.
