Deva opening weekend Box Office collection: Shahid Kapoor starrer sees slight improvement on Sunday

New Delhi: Deva garnered massive buzz on social media prior to its release. However, after its theatrical outing, all the hype around it failed to translate into significant Box Office numbers. After two days in cinemas, the Shahid Kapoor starrer saw a slight improvement on Sunday (February 2, 2025).

According to Sacnilk, rough data suggests that the much-talked-about film minted Rs 7.59 crore on its third day. If these numbers turn out to be accurate, the total collection of the movie now stands at Rs 19.52 crore in India. It will be interesting to see if Rosshan Andrrews directorial passes the Monday (February 3, 2025) test, as it is crucial to get decent footfalls during the weekdays as well.

The industry tracker further states that Deva has grossed Rs 20.75 crore at the Box Office worldwide. The film was released in theaters on Friday (January 31, 2025).

Alongside the 43-year-old actor, the film also featured Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulati, Pravesh Rana, Kubbra Sait, Girish Kulkarni, Manish Wadhwa and Gaurav More in pivotal roles. Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur under Roy Kapur Films, Deva was edited by A Sreekar Prasad with Amit Roy handling cinematography.

The action thriller marked Shahid’s return to theaters almost a year after his last film. “One year of blood, sweat, and tears. 2024 was all DEVA!!! My heart, my soul. My work, my passion. My love for acting. My love for my audience. My years of experience, my inner creative child. All of this is in Deva… Till today, he was mine. From tomorrow, he is yours,” he wrote on Instagram.

For those unversed, Shahid was last seen in cinemas in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. The science fiction romantic comedy, also starring Kriti Sanon, reportedly emerged as a commercial success. The Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah directorial was produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios.
