Republic Day 2025: Films to watch on OTT that will ignite your patriotic spirit

New Delhi: With Republic Day 2025 approaching, the atmosphere in India is filled with pride. The public holiday commemorates the adoption of the Constitution of India. While the morning of this special occasion is typically marked by grand parades, citizens can turn to OTT platforms that are flooded with patriotic films.
Over the years, Bollywood has blessed Indian cinema with movies that are powerful enough to ignite the spirit of nationalism. So, if you are unsure about what to stream, here is a list of patriotic Hindi flicks that will surely elevate the entertainment quotient on Republic Day 2025.
Republic Day 2025 OTT watchlist
Border: The epic war film, written and directed by JP Dutta, is available for viewing on Amazon Prime Video. Based on the events surrounding the Battle of Longewala, the movie stars Sunny Deol in the lead role.
Fighter: Directed by Siddharth Anand, the action drama features Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. It is believed to be inspired by the 2019 Pulwama attack, the 2019 Balakot airstrike and the India-Pakistan border skirmishes. Fighter can be streamed on Netflix.
LOC: Kargil: The historical war movie is one of the longest Indian films ever made. It is based on the Indian Army’s successful Operation Vijay. Directed by JP Dutta, the flick boasts an ensemble cast of some of Bollywood’s biggest stars. LOC: Kargil is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Lakshya: Directed by Farhan Akhtar and written by Javed Akhtar, the Hrithik Roshan starrer centers around the Kargil War. Though it didn’t perform well at the Box Office initially, the film garnered a huge following after its reruns on television. Lakshya is now available on Netflix.
Bhuj: The Pride of India: Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, this war flick reportedly premiered on Disney+ Hotstar in August 2021. Set during the Indo-Pak War of 1971, it stars Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha.
