New Delhi: After the massive success of the web series, Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, Marvel announced that the show will continue with its second and third seasons. The first season made its debut on Disney+Hotstar (now Jio Hotstar). However, there is no official confirmation about which OTT platform the upcoming seasons will be released on. But, it is expected that it will be most likely released on Jio Hotstar, considering Marvel’s collaboration with the streaming giant.

Recently, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, Television and Animation, revealed that the series will continue with its Season 2 and Season 3. Let’s delve into further details!

Brad further shared that the production is progressing well, with all scripts completed and half of the animatics completed. He also added that he has fallen in love with the characters of the show. Teasing about the upcoming seasons, he said, “You feel it in season 1, you grow connected to these characters, so when everything starts to lock in and pay off by the end of the season… I don’t know about you guys, but I feel it really in my soul, he added, noting that it ‘just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons’.

According to reports, the next season is likely to arrive in 2026. It is also speculated that Season 2 could make its debut in January 2026. However, an official announcement on the release date is still awaited.

Though the makers have yet to reveal a synopsis of the upcoming seasons, the first season gave a few hints about how the story could progress. One of the biggest revelations was the appearance of Peter Parker’s father, Richard Parker, who is in prison. Meanwhile, it also hinted at the villains of the upcoming seasons, including Doctor Octopus, Norman Osborn, and an alien symbiote, which suggests the arrival of Venom.

It is also expected that Peter Parker will be shown in the second year as a student and as a superhero.
