Vijay Deverakonda dips into faith, celebrates Mahakumbh with his mother

New Delhi: Individuals from all over the world are travelling to India to attend the holy festival of Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayajraj, UP. Devotees and spiritual people take a dip at the Triveni Sangam to wash away their sins. This large-scale event has seen quite a lot of Indian and international celebs’ attendance.

One such South Indian celebrity, Vijay Deverakonda was spotted at a holy festival along with his mother. Following the much-awaited teaser of his upcoming movie VD12, the actor was seen offering prayers right after his dip, embracing the spiritual essence of the moment before making his way out.

A picture of Vijay Deverakonda wearing a saffron dhoti, and rudraksh malas around his neck has surfaced online. The actor was seen standing and praying in the holy water while his mother, Mahadevi Devarakonda stood next to him.

Vijay Deverakonda is one of the latest in a long line of Indian and international celebrities who visited the holy festival. Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana Kamineni Konidela, recently posted pictures from her trip to Prayagraj with friends. Before that, Rana Daggubati’s wife, Miheeka Bajaj, visited with her mother, Bunty Bajaj, and shared photos and videos of Naga Sadhus on Instagram, including shots from inside her tent and moments with her mother.

For those unaware, the Maha Kumbh Mela is a festival that happens every twelve years. It attracts millions of devotees who come to the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, UP to take a dip in the holy waters to seek ‘moksha’ (liberation from the cycle of rebirth). People from around the world visit India for this important event. This year’s Maha Kumbh Mela started on January 13, 2025, and will end on February 26, 2025.
