Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava all set to cross Rs 400 crore mark at the Box Office?

New Delhi: Two weeks have passed since Chhaava took the silver screen by storm and it continues to wreak havoc at the Box Office. The Vicky Kaushal starrer, even on weekdays, is managing to attract significant footfalls to theaters, setting the cash registers ringing at ticket counters.

According to Sacnilk, rough data suggests that the historical film raked in Rs 11.67 crore on Thursday (February 27, 2025). The number is likely to become more accurate as the day progresses. If the figure turns out to be true, then the total collection of the much-talked-about movie now stands at Rs 397.92 crore at the Box Office in India. It is all set to surpass the prestigious Rs 400 crore mark on Friday (February 28, 2025).

The industry tracker further states that the flick has, so far, collected Rs 540.35 crore at the Box Office across the globe. By achieving this feat, it has cemented its place among the highest-grossing Hindi films of all time.

Who plays what in Chhaava?

Chhaava, directed by renowned filmmaker Laxman Utekar, features the 36-year-old actor as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who was the eldest son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the second king of the Maratha Empire. It also stars Kiran Karmarkar as Annaji Datto Sachiv, Vineet Kumar Singh as Kavi Kalash, Divya Dutta as Soyarabai, Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite, Neil Bhoopalam as Prince Muhammad Akbar, Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb and Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale.

The film, touted to be an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant, has been produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films. It opened to mostly positive reviews on February 14, 2025, coinciding with the joyous occasion of Valentine’s Day.

While its music has been composed by Academy Award-winning AR Rahman, the lyrics are penned by critically acclaimed Irshad Kamil and Kshitij Patwardhan. On popular demand, Chhaava will be releasing in Telugu on March 7, 2025.
