Veteran actor Sarigama Viji dies at 76 after health battle | What we know so far

New Delhi: Sending shockwaves throughout the Indian entertainment industry, Sarigama Viji has reportedly breathed his last recently. The Kannada star was said to be 76 years old at the time of his tragic demise.

According to a tv9kannada.com report, the renowned actor had been battling ill health for the past few days. He was believed to be suffering from respiratory issues.

The report further mentioned that Viji was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru, where he was being treated for pneumonia. Sadly, Viji died on Wednesday (January 15, 2025) at 9:45 AM.

As soon as the news of Viji’s death surfaced online, netizens started flooding the internet with messages of mourning. Social media users, including his fans and admirers, are deeply grief-stricken by his passing.

As per timesofindia.com, Viji’s mortal remains will be taken to his residence in Mahalakshmipuram where people can pay their final respects to the beloved personality. It is further reported that his last rites will take place at Chamarajpet Crematorium at 10 AM on Thursday (January 16, 2025).
