Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications and age limits as of July 1, 2024:

1. Typist
   • Pass in SSLC or equivalent.
   • Pass in Government Technical Examination in Typewriting:
     • Higher grades in both Tamil and English; or
     • Higher grade in Tamil and lower grade in English; or
     • Higher grades in English and lower grades in Tamil.
   • Completion of Computer Application and Office Automation Certificate Course or equivalent approved by the government.
2. Watchman, Gurkha, Evalal (Farm Cultivation), Subtemple Sweeper, Cattle Maintenance Worker, Subtemple Watchman
   • Ability to read and write in Tamil.
3. Thirumanjanam
   • Ability to read and write in Tamil.
   • Certificate in the relevant field from a recognized Agama school or Veda padasala.
4. Murai Sthanikam
   • Ability to read and write in Tamil.
   • Certificate of one-year training in Agama training schools.
5. Odal, Thalam
   • Ability to read and write in Tamil.
   • Certificate in the relevant field from a recognized music school.
6. Technical Assistant (Electronics and Communication)
   • Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
7. Plumber
   • ITI Certificate in Plumber Trade.
   • Five years of experience in the relevant field or two years of apprenticeship.
8. Assistant Electrician
   • ITI Certificate in Electrical/Wireman trade.
   • “H” Certificate from Electrical Licensing Board.
9. Head Master
   • Master’s degree in Tamil and B.T or B.Ed.
   • At least five years of service as a Tamil Teacher in a Higher Secondary School.
   • Preference for candidates with a Master’s degree in Philosophy, Religion, and Culture.
10. Thevaram Teacher
    • Ability to read and write in Tamil.
    • Completion of a three-year course in any Agama School, Thevara Pada Salas, or Veda Padasalas.
11. Agama Teacher
    • At least five years of experience as a Teacher in a Veda Agama Padasalai (Saivam) or as a Senior Archakar for at least five years in temples under the HR&CE Department.
    • Certificate of a four-year course in Veda Agama Padasalai in Saiva Agamam.

Age Limit

The age limit for all positions is between 18 to 45 years. Age relaxations are applicable as per government norms:

• SC/ST Applicants: 5 years
• OBC Applicants: 3 years
• PwBD (General/EWS) Applicants: 10 years
• PwBD (SC/ST) Applicants: 15 years
• PwBD (OBC) Applicants: 13 years
