Salman Khan drops his no-nonsense advice on heartbreaks and moving on – What is it?

New Delhi: Salman Khan is no stranger to love, heartbreak and all the drama that comes with it. Over the years, his name has been linked to Bollywood’s most stunning, from Aishwarya Rai to Katrina Kaif. The actor himself confessed in a previous interview that he was all set to marry Sangeeta Bijlani, however, it never took place.
Yet, despite all the high-profile romances, the superstar remains Bollywood’s most eligible bachelor. While his personal life has always been a topic of discussion, Salman recently turned Love Guru (Partner reference much? Prem Bhaiiii…) – this time, for his nephew, Arhaan Khan.
Salman Khan drops ultimate love advice
In a candid chat on Arhaan’s YouTube channel, Dumb Biryani, Salman opened up about breakups, moving on, and the importance of respect in relationships. And in true Bhai style, he kept it simple, practical, and brutally honest.
The Tere Naam actor had a unique analogy for dealing with heartbreak. Comparing a breakup to removing a band-aid, he explained that the best way to handle it is to rip it off quickly. “If your girlfriend breaks up with you, let her go,” he said. “Cry your heart out in a room, finish it, and then step out like nothing happened.” His advice? No slow healing, no dragging out emotions—just a clean break.
While his words may sound tough, they come from a place of experience. Salman has seen enough heartbreaks, both on-screen and off, to know that clinging to the past only makes things harder.
Salman Khan teaches how to move on…
Salman, 59, also stressed the importance of accountability in relationships. If you’ve made a mistake, own up to it. “If you realise you were wrong, apologise immediately,” he advised. According to him, no relationship can survive without mutual respect. If that’s missing, there’s no point holding on.
The Ek Tha Tiger actor also believes that when trust is broken, there’s no looking back. “Even if you’ve been together for 40-50 years and find out you were cheated on, let it go,” he said. His solution? Don’t dwell on it—act like six months have already passed and move forward.
