New Delhi: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan will soon be discharged from the Lilavati Hospital. The Bollywood star will be stepping out of the medical facility on Tuesday (January 21) after five days in the hospital. The actor was stabbed six time by the attacker, who trespassed his Mumbai residence with the intention of robbery. He underwent two surgeries – one near his spine and the other was cosmetic.

According to initial reports, the discharge papers were filed on Monday (January 20) night. He was discharged on Tuesday around 2:30 pm. He was admitted to the hospital on January 16 morning around 3-3:30 pm and was accompanied by his son Taimur Ali Khan. Let’s delve into more details.

Saif Ali Khan stepped out of the Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday (January 21). In the first visuals of the actor, he can be seen walking towards his car as he exited the hospital premises. On January 16, when Saif was rushed to the hospital, he underwent emergency surgery to stop the spinal fluid leakage, that happened due to the stabbing. The doctors also removed the embedded 3-inch piece of knife from his body.

The team of doctors at Lilavati Hospital has given permission to the family to take him home . While Saif is able to walk and talk, he has been advised bed rest as it will take him about a month to fully recover, due to the surgery on his back. Doctors also advised the actor to avoid lifting weights, going to the gym or shooting for his films.

Saif Ali Khan has been recovering well while maintaining a positive outlook. Saif’s sister Saba Pataudi also shared his health update and shared that the Cocktail actor is recovering gradually and steadily. Earlier, the team of doctors said during the press conference that Saif’s recovery is “satisfactory” but he needs complete bed rest for some weeks.

Meanwhile, the man who attacked Saif Ali Khan, has been arrested by Mumbai Police. He is currently in police custody. According to police, he is a Bangladeshi, who illegally entered India.
